Nuestro Himno: Readers Speak Out

Wednesday May 10, 2006
The controversy over having a version of the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish is starting to slow down, especially now that more and more radio stations are limiting or eliminating it's airtime in order to avoid the backlash of anti-Nuestro Himno opinion.

After looking over the many opinions that you, the readers, have expressed, both in comments and in the forum, I thought it might be interesting to take a small subset of your comments and reprint it here for those of you who have neither the time nor the inclination to wade through all the postings on this heated debate.

While we're on the topic, Telemundo will air a special 60 minute program Immigration Crossroads: On the Verge of Change Sunday, May 14th at 8 PM. The following Sunday, May 21st Discovery en Espagnol will also be examining the immigration debate on their program Objetivo: El Norte at 9 PM ET/PT.
