CD Review: Willy Chirino - Cubanisimo

Cuban-born, Florida resident Willy Chirino dedicated his album Cubanisimo to "all the friends of freedom and those that faithfully believe, as I do, that someday we will return to the land of our birth". The CD/DVD takes a firm, political ex-patriot stand on the current state of Cuba/Fidel and reaches yearningly for the motherland and freedom.

But even if you don't agree, or are apolitical, salsa fans can listen to this album with pleasure as Chirino brings his special brand of musical life to tracks that breathe the sound of Cuba via Miami.
