West Coast Salsa Conference Starts This Week
Wednesday May 24, 2006
For all you west coast salsa fanatics, a reminder that the 2006 Annual West Coast Salsa Conference starts tomorrow and the dance extravaganza will continue for four days (May 25 - 28th, 3883 W. Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA).
This year's confirmed artists include The Tito Puente original orchestra musicians, The Puerto Rican Masters, Tipica 73, New Swing Sextet, Orquesta Tabaco Y Ron and more. Whether you're a dancer, a listener - or just want to spend an evening or two soaking up the glittery glamour that is the hallmark of the salsa scene, this congress promises to deliver.
If you're not on the west coast, there's no need to despair. There are World Salsa Congress events scheduled all over the world. The finalists in these individual events - from Tokyo to San Juan, earn the right to compete in the 2nd Annual World Salsa Championships which, this year, will be held in Las Vegas on December 14 - 16th.
Still wondering whether or not a salsa congress is for you? You can get an idea of what you'd be seeing and hearing by watching past West Coast Congress Event DVDs. Dance along with the pros in the privacy of your own home. Maybe after a couple of hours, you'll realize that you could be a contender!
