Aterciopelados Spring Tour
Friday January 19, 2007
It's a tough climb to the top of the Latin music charts with so many dynamic artists out there. Lately, more and more often the top spot has been monopolized by artists from Colombia, the country that seems to be a boiling cauldron of innovative, talented and charismatic musicians. So it's not surprising that there's a Colombian name at the top of both iTunes Latin Albums Chart and eMusic's Top Albums Chart.
What is a little surprising (but only a little) is that the Colombian name at the top is not Shakira, Juanes, Fonseca or Carlos Vives, the usual suspects. Instead, Aterciopelados, riding the wave of critical and popular success with ther album Oye currently owns that spot.
Now many of you will have a chance to see them live as dates and venues have been announced for their spring tour in support of the album. As good as the album is, live has got to be better. So here's the 911.
March 18 - New York City - SOBs
March 19 - Washington, DC - State Theatre
March 21 - Boston, Plaza Garibaldi
March 23 - Chicago - House of Blues
March 24 - Anaheim - House of Blues
March 28 - San Diego - Cane's
March 30 - San Jose - Barcelona
March 31 - Los Angeles - Echoplex
