New Release: Ivy Queen - Sentimiento

Wednesday March 28, 2007
Reggaeton is not for the timid and meek. The music can be strident, the lyrics often angry and maybe that's the reason the genre is dominated by men.

When you think about women in reggaeton, the one name that always comes to mind is Ivy Queen, the Diva, the woman who's stood head-to-head and toe-to-toe with the guys from the start.

This week, Ivy Queen is releasing her new album, Sentimiento (March 27) and it will be interesting to see what this powerful female voice is singing about in 2007. Here's a chance to listen to "Que Lloren", the single from Sentimiento - and one written by Ivy Queen herself - and get a peek at what the album has in store for us.

Listen:
Que Lloren (low speed)
Que Lloren (high speed)

hey, Tijana, you enjoyed Que Hiciste by Jennifer Lopez alot, and I was wondering when you were going to review her album. I must admit it, I did not like it at first, but after multiple plays, it has become my favorite of all her albums. So, please take that into consideration, and email me if you can, but if you cant. That is totally understandable, thank you, and continue to write great reviews!
