New York International Latino Film Festival

I don't usually write about film, but the film El Cantante is really all about music - the music of Hector Lavoe. The film, starring Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last September and then went on hold prior to its general release.

Now there's another chance for New Yorkers to catch a preview performance of the eagerly anticipated film. The New York International Latino Film Festival, being held July 24-29, 2007 is featuring El Cantante as the festival closer. There are a lot of other interesting films being presented at the festival, so check the festival schedule before you head out the door.
