Wednesday night Juan Luis Guerra attended a banquet and concert held in order to honor him as the Latin Recording Academy's "Man of the Year". Thursday night Guerra returned to feast on little gramophones, walking away with 6 Grammies, including 'Record of the Year', 'Song of the Year' and 'Album of the Year' awards for La Llave De Mi Corazon.

It was quite a sweep; the only other multi-award winners were Ricky Martin whose MTV Unplugged album earned him two awards for 'Best Male Pop Vocal Album' and 'Best Long Form Video' and Calle 13 who also went home with a couple for Residente O Visitante ('Best Urban Album' and 'Best Urban Song').

Of course they should all earn an acting award. The shock, surprise and exhilaration of the winners sure looked genuine, but it's tough to believe that the winners - or at least someone in their organization - didn't already know the they were about to go up on that stage. The results were (once again) posted on the Grammy website while the nominees were still on the red (OK, green) carpet. Or are they notified ahead of time?

Well, the exhilaration was probably real.

Here's a partial list of winners; stay tuned for more Latin Grammy highlights, video links and picture galleries.
