CD Review: Cafe Tacuba - Sino
If there's one seminal band that defines 'rock en espagnol', it would be Mexico's Cafe Tacuba. The wealth and influence of their music is even more amazing when you realize that Sino is only their 6th studio album since the band's origin in 1989.
Each of these 6 albums has had something new to offer. They've been experimental, creative, non-conformist, musically innovative or just plain good rock.
Sino takes a step back in order to take a giant step forward. The album evokes rock's glory days while saying something basic and 'today' to eager fans.
Rock fans will not be disappointed. The music is so good that it really doesn't matter whether or not the listener speaks Spanish.
