New Releases for March 11, 2008

I've listed 10 new releases for you this week and in looking at them, I think the album that really catches my attention is Antonio Carmona's Vengo Venenoso. Carmona was the lead singer of flamenco-fusion band Ketama before he got together with Gustavo Santaolalla to produce his debut album.

The song "Vengo Venenoso" is one of my favorite tracks from Issac Delgado's award-nominated En Primera Plana. Delgado's version is salsa; Carmona's is flamenco fusion. If you'd like to hear the song done Carmona's way, you can watch the video and decide for yourself if this style is to your taste.
