CD Review: Cubanismo - Greetings From Havana
Friday March 14, 2008
If you're in the mood for new Cuban music, you'll probably end up listening to artists in the Cuban diaspora. There's not much music coming out of Havana easily available to us here in the U.S.
That's why it's nice to know that Greetings From Havana was recorded in the city's Abdala Studios, although it was subsidized and released by Australian AIM Records. If you're a fan of Cuban rhythms fused with jazz and performed by superior musicians, you can join me in saying "Thanks, mate!"
