There was a 10 year hiatus between Sergio Mendes' 1996 album Oceano and 2006's Timeless , the album on which Mendes joined with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas to put a contemporary twist to his signature bossa nova.

The success of Timeless probably explains why Mendes and will.i.am are back so quickly this time with Encanto, an album that includes covers of some of his most popular tracks, some new tracks and another star-studded cast of guest artists.
