New Releases For June 17, 2008

With less than a week to go before the official start of summer, we're treated to the new acoustic album by alt-rocker Julieta Venegas - although I have to say that she seems to be spending more time on pop-type tunes rather than on her earlier sound. See for yourself as tracks from Julieta Venegas MTV Unplugged are currently available in the listening booth.

There's also a new Gilberto Gil album and this one is really 'new' as most of the songs were composed for the album rather than rehashed from earlier ones. Reggaeton fans have new music to enjoy from Hector 'El Father'; there's 3 bachata entries including a live DVD from Hector Acosta.
