Universal City Walk Summer Block Party

Thursday June 26, 2008
New York and Chicago aren't the only two cities that are gearing up for a summer full of Latin music. Natives of Los Angeles (if there is such a thing) already know that Universal City Walk is a great place to go for an evening of entertainment with its shops, restaurants and the Gibson Amphitheatre, one of Latin music's best west coast venues. But if the Gibson's rather pricey tickets are an issue, this summer you can still hear some exciting Latin music for a better price tag: free.

Descarga en CityWalk con Telemundo y mun2 has a schedule that offers a little something for everyone from fans of hip hop, pop, salsa, rock-en-espanol and more. The free live performances take place each Sunday night from 6 - 8 pm, from this Sunday, June 29th through August 31st. Here's the schedule.

By the way, if you find yourself at odds on a Tuesday night, CityWalk's Rumba Room will be hosting '"Summer Night Salsa" on Tuesdays from 7:30 - 10 pm. Not only can you practice your salsa moves to a live band but professional dance instructor Marco Antonio will be on hand to offer free salsa dance lessons.

Excuse me, what do you mean by saying “Natives of Los Angeles (if there is such a thing)” - OF COURSE there are natives of Los Angeles, especially ones who are interested in music in Spanish!
