Let Ricky Martin Send Your Greeting To Friends & Family

It's always nice to get a kind word from friends, whether in person, through snail-mail or online. But wouldn't it be nice to have the recipients' favorite Latin music superstar deliver the message?

If that celebrity is Ricky Martin, he'd be happy to send the message for you. Okay, not in person, but via a new Internet-delivery system named Postcards From The Stars. Here's how it works.

When you go to the Postcards From The Stars Website, you pick names from those available on a list. If you want to send a message to 'Juan' rather than to 'John', be sure to enter the site via the Spanish language portal. Then you pick the greeting from another pretty large list of options, send it and voila! The recipient gets a video of Ricky Martin wishing them 'Happy Birthday' or 'Happy Thanksgiving' (there are quite a few messages), using their name and yours. It's really pretty cool. Although the list of names is somewhat limited, you can request names be added to the list.

The digital greeting costs $3.95 - about the cost of a quality greeting card - and with each purchase the Ricky Martin Foundation gets a donation to help in the global effort to prevent child trafficking.

For the next 60 days, Ricky Martin will be the only star talking to your friends and relatives, but the site claims that more internationally known celebrities will be signing on soon.

I'd like to send one myself, but sadly 'Tijana' doesn't appear on any list. What a surprise.
