Review: Los Lonely Boys - 'Christmas Spirit'
Friday November 21, 2008
Every year there are a number of Christmas albums that are released in time for the holiday season and this year is no exception. Some are traditional, some are popular and others just seem redundant. But this year none of them are as much fun as Christmas Spirit by Texas favorites, Los Lonely Boys.
I use the word 'fun' because the album does not rely on just one style. It takes each songs and gives it a twist - whether early rock, Tex-Mex, satirical or pure and simple. If you're looking for something to add a little oomph to your Christmas playlist, try this album.

I may just be The Boys biggest fan ever (!!!) and got their long-awaited Christmas CD. It is fantastic and was worth the wait! The reviewer here is right on the mark that this isn’t your standard fare. It’s a remarkable selection of songs of the spirit and two originals that The Boys wrote that are fantastic - “I’ve Longed For Christmas” features JoJo’s gorgeous voice and he’s accompanied by his children. It might become a Christmas Classic if enough people get to hear it!!!
All in all, this should be in everyone’s holiday music collections - you won’t be sorry.
