Say the word merengue and if you're talking about artists from the Dominican Republic, one voice stands out from all the rest. That voice belongs to Hector Acosta, for 15 years the lead vocalist of Los Toros Band.
He may have been called the band's 'El Torito' (Little Bull) but there's nothing small about his music, his voice or his stage presence.
Acosta left Los Toros Band in 2006, forming an orchestra of his own and continuing to bring merenge as well as bachata to packed houses all over the world.
