Shakira Gets Favorite Latin Artist Trophy at The American Music Awards

Last night, the 40th edition of the American Music Awards honored Shakira with the Favorite Artist - Latin award. The Colombian singer, who was competing against Latin Urban artists Pitbull and Don Omar, collected her fourth trophy at this event since the inception of this category back in 1998.

Pop sensation artist Justin Bieber became the biggest winner of the night taking home awards for Artist of the Year, Pop/rock male artist and Pop or Rock Music: Favorite Album. Latin music was represented on the stage by Cuban-American rapper Pitbull who delivered a high-energy performance of "Don't Stop The Party" followed by "Feel This Moment," featuring Christina Aguilera.
