Considering the recent news surrounding Carlos Vives, Colombia's most popular Vallenato artist, 2013 could easily mark one of the best years in the professional career of this charismatic singer. To begin with, the popular Colombian star has just hit the Latin music market with "Como Le Gusta A Tu Cuerpo," the second single of his upcoming album Corazon Profundo featuring Brazilian artist Michel Telo. In addition to this, Carlos Vives has also signed an exclusive 4-year contract with Sony Music Latin, a deal that very likely will take the career of the Colombian singer to new levels of popularity.
"Como Le Gusta A Tu Cuerpo" is a catchy song featuring lots of accordion playing from the Vallenato and Sertaneja traditions. The new single, which includes lyrics in Spanish and Portuguese, was recorded by Carlos Vives and Michel Telo in different studios in the US and Brazil. The song is included in Carlos Vives' Corazon Profundo, a comeback album that will be available in stores this coming April 23.
Thanks to the new partnership between Carlos Vives and Sony Music Latin, the release of Corazon Profundo will probably have a significant impact on the Latin music market. While the new agreement is set to boost the career of the Colombian artist, who will record three additional albums with the label, it will also provide Sony Music Latin with an important stake in non-recording opportunities that include sponsorships and tours.
After the release of Corazon Profundo, Carlos Vives will be focused on a brand new tour this summer. Stay tuned for more information regarding one of the most exciting comebacks in Latin music.
