For the second consecutive year, Reggaeton and Latin Urban sensation artist Don Omar is leading the list of finalists for the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The Puerto Rican superstar gathered most of his 18 nominations with his work Don Omar Presents MTO2: New Generation, one of the best Latin music albums of 2012. Don Omar is competing for some of the most prestigious trophies including awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year.

Right behind the Latin Urban artist, the 15th edition of the awards is revisiting the already notable face-off between Bachata stars Romeo Santos and Prince Royce. While Romeo Santos, the most influential Latin music artist of 2012, received 12 nominations this year, Prince Royce captured 10 nods. In between the two Bachata singers, the legendary Diva of Banda Music Jenni Rivera and the popular Latin Urban duo Wisin y Yandel are sharing the third place on the list with 11 nominations each.

Behind this selected group of stars, artists like Pitbull, 3BallMTY, Michel Telo, Shakira and La Arrolladora Banda el Limon de Rene Camacho also grabbed a significant number of nominations this year. The 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which are the closing act of the Billboard Latin Music Conference to be held between April 22-24, will air live on the Spanish-language network Telemundo this coming April 25 from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami. Stay tuned for more updates regarding one of the most exciting Latin music nights of the year.
