Luis Fonsi started his singing career in 1998 and has recorded seven studio albums to date. He has also released a few compilations and remixes but this discography lists only the studio albums.
1. 'Comenzare' (1998)
Luis Fonsi was at Florida State University when he signed a contract with Universal Music Latina and recorded Comenzare (I Will Begin). The debut album did very well and contains the hit singles "Si Tu Quisieras," "Perdoname," "Me Ire" and "Dime Como."

2. 'Eterno' (2000)
Fonsi's second album, Eterno was also a hit and is notable in that this is where he made his debut as a songwriter, penning the track "Mi Sueno" and becoming involved in the song's production and arrangements. It also includes two tracks sung in Engish.

Riding on the wave of two successful albums, Amor Secreto went gold in the U.S. the day after its release.

4. 'Fight The Feeling' (2002)
With three successful albums under his belt, Fonsi made an attempt to crossover to the English-language market with his fourth album, Fight The Feeling, especially since he was raised in Orlando, FL and was fluent in English. Unfortunately, Fonsi singing in English just didn't catch on with his public and the album did poorly.

Fonsi changed his formula with his sixth album, hiring a new producer and starting to experiment with different rhythms and sounds. Paso A Paso also found favor with the critics who, until this album, hadn't been that positive about his music.

Considered the most creative of his albums, Palabras del Silencio has helped Fonsi to rise to super stardom. The album's first single, "No Me Doy Por Vencido" dominated the #1 spot on Billboard's 'Hot Latin Songs' chart for 17 weeks, although it was one of several tracks on the album that attained #1 status.
