Here we are at the end of another wonderful year of Latin music. It looks like most artists are taking a break for the holidays, since only Lucero is performing New Years Eve, but that still leaves an entire month of Latin music for those hardy souls willing to brave the weather.
1. Ricky Martin
If you're lucky enough to be in New York, catch the Ricky Martin, the "Man of the Year" in this once only concert.

2. Bacilos
Miami-based Bacilos' music is a mix of Brazilian, Columbian and Puerto Rican influencs fused with more modern pop/rock sounds. That's because the trio is comprised of Colombian singer/songwriter Jorge Villamizar, Brazilian bassist Andre Lopes and Puerto Rican percussionist Jose Javier Freire. This trio is worth a trip to your local concert hall.

Born in Argentina, living most his life in Venezuela, the music of singer/songwriter Ricardo Montaner pop music fuses with the many styles of the entire Latin music world.

5. Enrique Iglesias
Enrique Iglesias was the biggest selling Latin artist in the world with his 1997 album Vivir. He's been quiet for awhile, but is currently finishing up his newest CD, soon to be released.

6. Los Lobos
Straight from East L.A., Los Lobos is probably one of the best and longest running rock bands in the world. This month they'll be performing in a mini-tour so that bost coasts (and Chicago) can enjoy their rockin' tunes.

7. Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan
Considered by many the best mariachi band in the world, Mariachi Vargas has been performing for over 100 years (obviously not with the origianl members). The band members are the 5th generation to be part of the Mariachi Vargas musical tradition. This is an opportunity for you to become part of the tradition as well.

8. Ozomatli
Ozomatli is the Aztec god of dance and music. Ozomatli, the band, hails from Los Angeles and plays a special kind of funk and rock en espagnol.They've been on the 'Top 10' a number of times this year, but then they're worth it.

9. Los Abandoned
If you like alt-rock, then Los Abandoned may be the group for you. Singing in both Spanish and English, the band hails from L.A. and is playing locally this month.
