An interesting win was Pepe Aguilar. During the qualifying dates, Aguilar had 3 possible albums that were released - 2 releases of Enamorado and 1 release of 100% Mexicano. At the Latin Grammy Awards, Aguilar took home 'Best Ranchero Album' for Enamorado. But he won the 2008 Grammy Award for 100% Mexicano. Why did one organization find Enamorado superior to 100% Mexicano? Beats me!

More than 50% of the nominations are for artists and music that doesn't even appear in the Latin Grammy nominations. You have to wonder who does the nominating for this awards event (and vica versa) and why there's such a large disparity among the two lists.
