Probably the best known Brazilian artist in the world, Sergio Mendes charmed a global audience with his band the Brazil '66. He went on to record albums and win awards. In 2006, he changed directions with the diverting Brazilian rhythm /hip hop mix album Timeless that he coproduced with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
This year he's back in another collaboration with will.i.am; his new album Encanto is due out on June 10th, 2008 and with it an opportunity to see the Brazilian master in action.
