4. DLG
DLG (Dark Latin Groove) was one of my favorite groups of the 1990s, featuring an interesting mix of salsa, reggaeton, hip-hop and other urban genres. They broke up in 2000 when lead singer Huey Dunbar decided to go solo. Using the 2008 album Renacer as their vehicle, they're back with a new lead, Dominican singer Miss YaYa (Yahaira Vargas). The newly reborn group will be performing at the newly reborn Conga Room.

The norteno group Conjunto Primavera's music is more romantic than corrido and, since they're from northern Mexico, they add saxaphone to their instrumental mix for a smoother, more romantic sound. Conjunto music fans should enjoy the Valentine's Day concert in Chicago.
