Latin Music Concerts for March. 2008

March may have been a bad month for Julius Caesar, but it looks like it'll be a good month for contemporary Latin music fans with a list of 12 notable concerts across the U.S.

1. Juanes

This month marks the start of Juanes' La Vida concert tour. March will find Juanes on the east coast and Puerto Rico from where he will make his way west, ending on the west coast in May.

2. Aventura

Aventura is enjoying a huge surge of popularity lately, winning 4 2008 Premio Lo Nuestro awards. The band has scheduled two concerts in California for west coast bachata lovers.

Mar. 9: San Jose, CA - San Jose State Event Center Arena
Mar. 16: San Diego, CA - San Diego Sports Arena

3. Pepe Aguilar

Another crowd pleaser and multi-award winner, ranchera's Pepe Aguilar will be seranading fans in California.

Mar. 8: Anaheim, CA - Honda Center
Mar. 9: Pala, CA - Events Center - Pala Casino

4. Joan Sebastian

Joan Sebastian was the songwriter responsible for the songs on Vicente Fernandez' Para Siempre and has been making appearances with a number of singers over the past 18 months. This month he has the stage all to himself for 3 dates at Universal City.

Mar. 14, 15, 16: Univeral City, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre

5. RBD

An RBD concert is always a special event for those fascinated by the 6 charismatic performers from Rebelde. Their current tour goes through April.

6. Miguel Bose

Spain's Miguel Bose has 2 appearances on opposite sides of the country scheduled this month.

Mar. 6: Miami, FL - James L. Knight Center

7. Ramon Ayala

Mexican accordionist and songwriter Ramon Ayala will be seranading fans in Michigan this month.

Mar. 8: Grand rapids, MI - Orbit Room

8. Gilberto Santa Rosa

Salsa fans in California will have 2 opportunities to spend an evening with the incomporable Gilberto Santa Rosa.

Mar. 5: San Diego, CA - Blue Agave Nightclub
Mar 7: Sunnyvale, CA - Club Monaco

9. Los Tigres del Norte

Norteno's premier band, Los Tigres del Norte will be finishing up their current tour this month.

10. Gipsy Kings

A treat for guitar and flamenco enthusiasts, the Gipsy Kings continue touring the U.S. this month.

Mar. 4: Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall
Mar. 6: Chicago, IL - The Chicago Theatre
Mar. 7: Kansas City, MO - Uptown Theater
Mar. 11: Las Vegas, NV - Hard Rock Hotel
Mar. 12: Pala, CA - Events Center, Pala Casino
Mar. 13: Highland, CA - San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino

11. Peru Negro

Peru Negro is currently on tour through the U.S. and their schedule includes dates from the east coast to California. Here's a chance to see a cross-section of African-descended styles that have all but disappeared from Peru.

12. Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan

Mexico's Mariachi Vargas is possibly the longest existing mariachi group we have, with roots going back to 1898.
