Here are this month's notable music conerts.

1. Los Tigres del Norte /Montez de Durango

Los Tigres del Norte are a legend among norteno bands. They don't just sing about the Mexican immigrant experience in the U.S., they've lived it first hand. Except that, blessed with exceptional musical talent and thoughtful insight into the lives of their community, they've achieved the American dream rather than the American nightmare. Catch them live with Montez de Durango.

2. Gilberto Santa Rosa /Victor Manuelle

If you love salsa romantica it doesn't get much better than the Puerto Rican duo of Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Manuelle. Santa Rosa and Manuelle have performed together before - most notably in 2001 with their Dos Soneros, Una Historia concert and the subsequent DVD by the same name that came out in 2005.

3. Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee received the special 'Spirit of Hope' award at the 2009 Billboard Latin Music awards. Now Florida natives can see him live in concert.

  • May 9: Tampa, FL - USF Sun Dome

4. Ramon Ayala

Popular norteno accordionist/composer Ramon Ayala will be performing solo in Los Angeles, with Los Dareyes de la Sierra in San Diego.

  • May 9: Las Vegas, NV - Planet Hollywood Resort (with Los Dareyes de la Sierra)
  • May 15: San Diego, CA - House of Blues (with El Nuevo Galope)
  • May 16: Universal City, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre

5. Xtreme

Xtreme is being positioned as the next Aventura as the bachata band starts performing around the country.

  • May 24: New York, NY - SOB's

6. Toquinho & Friends

Toquinho is one of the first, great names in bossa nova. Brazilian music fans can see him and other Brazilian artists at a special performance in Florida.

  • May 9: Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Parker Playhouse

7. Olga Tanon

Puerto Rico merengue queen Olga Tanon has one date in May to the delight of fans in Dallas, TX.

  • May 14: Dallas, TX - Far West

8. El Tri

El Tri is another of Mexico's classic rock bands; their last album was 2008's Nada Que Perder.p>

  • Milwaukee, WI - Eagles Club

9. Grupo Mania

Another one for merengue fans as Grupo Mania hits the stage in New York.

  • May 8: Rochester, NY - Water Street Music Hall

10. Eddie Santiago

From Puerto Rico, salsa singer Eddie Santiago heads to California for a couple of concert dates.

  • May 21: Los Angeles, CA - The Conga Room
  • May 22: Sunnyvale, CA - Barcelona
