Here are this week's notable new releases.
Probably one of the best Brazilian jazz artists playing today, Ivan Lins won the Latin grammy in 2005 for
Cantando Historias. Brazilian jazz doesn't get much better than Lins so, if that's the genre you love, be sure to pick up the new one.
Two iconic Cuban jazz pianists, a generation apart and stylistically different, it should be worth the money to hear what they do together on this live album.
Cuban composer/jazz pianist Omar Sosa is looking back at his African roots with his new studio album; he takes both African and Latin rhythms, fuses them together and them gives them a novel, jazzy punch.
Here's another remastered Fania album, starting with a duo that's hard to beat. Willie Colon & [link url=/od/artistsoz/p/PRO01TITOPU.htm]Tito Puente[/link] performing together, this is a remaster of their classic 1993 album.
