2. Ceu - 'Vagarosa'

Six Degrees Records

Ceu's self-titled 2007 debut album was selected as part of Starbuck's 'Hear Music' series and I'm sure the exposure didn't hurt record sales. Here's the follow-up album and it's bound to be one that fans of cool Brazilian music will enjoy.

Mopiato Music

Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca started out in Los Angeles in 1990 where they met with huge success before becoming known by the rest of the world. In this retrospective album, Lemvo updates some of his classic tunes.

Nacional Records

You will get lots of revved-up dance music with this album although it might come as a surprise that Bomba Estereo is from Colombia. Electronica, dub, hip hop and Colombian rhythms like cumbia and champeta get mixed together into a new, high-energy sound.
