Here are the notable new releases for the last two weeks.
1. Vicente Fernandez - 'Primera Fila'
With all of the many concerts that Vicente Fernandez has given - he does a serious number of them each year - this is the first time he's allowed anyone to film him performing live.
Available in both CD and DVD format, the DVD is an even bigger treat in that it was filmed at the 'Centro de Espectaculos Vicente Fernandez Gómez'- which is Fernandez' private arena. He's accompained by the Jalisco Philarmonic Orchestra.

2. Raulin Rodriguez - 'Parece Mentira'
Raulin Rodriguez is from San Fernando de Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, and is most well-known for his romantic bachata, but he usually adds some merengue to the mix for those who haven't had their merengue fix this year.3. Joe Veras - 'Vida'
If you like Dominican Music, here's a new album by Joe Veras, whose last album La Travesia's "Intentalo Tu" made the Top Ten in Billboard's Latin Tropical Airplay chart.4. Grupo Iman - '3 AM'
Grupo Iman, who now is just called Iman, is from Rio Grande City, TX. Their music is tejano and the sound is mellow pop suffused with Mexican rhythms and instrumentation.5. Xtreme - 'Chapter Dos'
Xtreme is another Bronx boy band, ala Aventura, here with a new album. Xtreme won a 2008 Premio Lo Nuestro award for 'song of the year' with "Infieles."6. Kinito Mendez - 'La Fabrica'
Here's another merengue album from Dominican favorite, Kinito Mendez.7. Yolanda Monge - 'Mala'
Puerto Rican Yolandita Monge's new album deals with the trials and tribulations of being a woman - and there sure are lots of them! She'll be promoting the album ina 'Mala' concert tour in 2009.8. Tanya Maria - 'The Best of Brazil' (DVD)
Grammy nominated singer & pianist Tanya Maria brings her own unique, jazzy style of Brazil's rhythms. This DVD includes 2 sets of live performances with guest artist Laurinda Almeida.9. Willie Bobo - 'King Conga' (DVD)
Spanish Harlem's Willie Bobo is a Latin jazz percussionist who's played with Tito Puente, Cal Tjader and a plethora of the finest Latin jazz bands. The DVD is a collection of 46 TV concerts.10. Daddy Yankee - 'Talento de Barrio' (DVD)
I don't usually offer movies in new releases, but it looks like Daddy Yankee's Talento de Barrio, a film about a reggaeton singer making it out of the mean streets, went straight to video. Daddy Yankee fans might be interested.
