With the six awards he took home, Prince Royce became the top winner of the 25th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro. Besides dominating the Tropical category with his second album Phase II, the singer from the Bronx collected two additional trophies thanks to "El Verdadero Amor Perdona," a collaboration work featuring a Bachata version of the popular hit from Mana's album Drama Y Luz.
Although Prince Royce topped the list of winners, Jenni Rivera, the popular Mexican music singer who died last year in a tragic plane accident, was the most celebrated artist of the night. Apart from the moving tribute led by her brother Lupillo Rivera, the legendary Diva of Banda Music was honored with several awards including the prestigious Artist of the Year Award and additional trophies in the Pop and Regional categories.
Other top winners include the Mexican Rock band Mana, Latin Urban artists Wisin y Yandel and Daddy Yankee, Mexican sensation trio 3BallMTY and Latin Pop duo Jesse & Joy. The 2013 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards also paid tribute to the music careers of Alejandro Sanz and Pedro Fernandez. The following is the full list of winners of this year's edition of Premio Lo Nuestro.
