Mañana is the name of the first album released by Silvina Moreno, a singer and songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Silvina Moreno's music falls into the indie pop field, something that is introduced in a defined way in her debut album. Let's take a closer look at Mañana.
Mañana is first and foremost an indie pop album shaped around the amazing voice and personality of Silvina Moreno. The album includes eight tracks featuring a bilingual repertoire that enhances the global appeal of this production.
Although Mañana is mostly marked by a very relaxing sound, the album moves between soft melodies such as "Mañana," "La Distancia" and "Stay Awake," and more uplifting tracks including "Feeling Sorry" and "Sweet Little Dandy".
As an independent project, Mañana relies entirely on Silvina Moreno's talent as a singer and songwriter. People who want to stay away from mainstream music will welcome the style of this Argentinian artist.
"Feeling Sorry" is the name of the single that got me into Mañana. In fact, this is my favorite song in the entire album. This track has the right energy in the right place. I also think "Feeling Sorry" is one of the songs that better captures Silvina Moreno's amazing voice. This track offers a very pleasant exchange of beats, and a wonderful ending featuring a musical explosion that wraps up the whole melody perfectly.
'Mañana' - Bottom Line
Mañana is the kind of album the more you listen to, the better it gets. In order to fully appreciate this work, you need to relax and listen to each individual track from beginning to end. This is not a negative aspect of this album but rather a sign of its quality and its appeal as a non-mainstream/commercial production.
Something I like about Mañana is the confidence Silvina Moreno shows throughout the whole album. Although her music field is not an easy one to tackle, she delivers a solid performance on each one of the songs of this work. Hopefully, Mañana is just the beginning of a promising 'tomorrow' for Silvina Moreno. A solid debut.
